As an intramural and recreation coordinator, you will develop, schedule, promote, and implement quarterly and bi-weekly intramural and recreational activities on and off campus. You will oversee the administration of programs, the training and evaluation of officials, and the development of policies and procedures. You will recruit, hire, and evaluate intramural and recreation student employees and maintain payroll records and scheduling. You will also resolve conflicts that involve programs, update IMLeagues.com, and assist with ClubSCAD or SCADfit coverage as needed. Additionally, you will set up activity equipment, maintain equipment and building cleanliness, and protect the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills. They will also display exemplary customer service skills. The candidate must have evening and weekend availability as well as reliable transportation to move between buildings.

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google apps
• Knowledge or ability to learn computer software programs

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field
• At least one year of experience working in campus recreation or equivalent programs
• Knowledge of scheduling or recreation management software (ex. Fusion, IMLeagues) and sports programs
• Demonstrated experience managing an intramurals program, training sports officials, and supervising and training student staff

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

• First Aid/CPR/AED

Travel required:

• 10–20%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
