As an assistant strength and conditioning coach, you will enhance SCAD student-athletes' physical and mental development. You will teach them proper exercise techniques to increase full-body power and performance. You will collaborate with the athletic training staff to monitor rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation programs of student-athletes and implement progressive programming to develop sport-specific strengths. You will also work with head coaches and the training staff to develop a strength and conditioning philosophy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- At least one year of experience in college strength and conditioning
- Strong interpersonal, motivational, and organizational skills
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Certification in CSCCa SCCC or NSCA CSCS
- CPR/AED certification
Travel Required:
- Less than 10%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
