As an assistant director of admission, you will travel extensively to strategically chosen schools, representing SCAD to prospective students and building ongoing professional and institutional relationships. This includes participation in school-specific initiatives, information sessions, college fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events. In accordance with NACAC guidelines, you will advise prospective students on SCAD programs that best match their interests and abilities. You will follow up with potential students via phone or email to discuss their interests and answer questions about university opportunities, and you will keep accurate applicant records in Banner. As part of your recruitment efforts, you will stay informed about all SCAD policies, procedures, locations, programs, scholarships, housing, financial aid, study abroad, and other opportunities. Additionally, you will work to enhance positive awareness of SCAD to support and facilitate successful college search processes for students.

In this role, you will hold scheduled one-on-one meetings with prospective students to provide information and supporting documents for the application process, as well as offer portfolio counseling as needed. You will give creative classroom presentations, invite educators to attend SCAD’s Educator Weekend, and participate in events like tours, SCAD Days, and summer programs, acting as the host at these events.. Responsibilities include the utilization of alumni and parent ambassadors in recruitment efforts, assistance with admitted and paid calls, and maintenance of educator contacts through Salesforce. Among other duties, you will monitor application and enrollment records to help with future planning and attend award ceremonies to announce scholarship winners.

In this position, you will keep accurate and detailed records of student, parent, teacher, and counselor information in accordance with FERPA. In Salesforce, you will research, enter, and update all travel-related details and record all planned, confirmed, and completed events so they appear on the Master Recruitment Calendar. Likewise, you will create and manage individual travel calendars in Outlook. You will also build a strong partnership with admission advisers to involve them in recruitment efforts, share relevant information with the admission staff, and mentor new team members. Additionally, you will attend summer and winter training sessions in both Savannah and Atlanta.

Among other responsibilities for this role, you will occasionally participate in special events and work evenings and weekends. To support this responsibility, you will maintain a flexible schedule throughout the recruitment year, allowing for both institutional and personal growth. Additionally, you will cover LivePerson Call Center shifts, volunteer at events, and provide access to the regional director, executive director, and assistant to the executive director. You will also regularly offer feedback and ideas to leadership.

Minimum qualifications:   

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Ability to travel extensively (40 weeks per year)

Travel required: More than 50% 

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
