As an associate mental health counselor, you will maintain an active caseload of students with counseling needs and documented disabilities. You will consult with various internal departments, assist with outreach and psychoeducational program development, and perform crisis intervention with students as assigned, including on-call duties. Among other duties you will provide students with community referrals as needed and promptly document student contact in Titanium. Responsibilities include participation in quarterly student orientation, maintenance of a personal schedule that aligns with the mast schedule in Titanium, and participation in departmental performance improvement initiatives. You will also inform your supervisor of staff development needs, prepare your own PRs for approval, and provide clinical supervision to trainees.

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or social work
  • Experience using brief therapy models

Preferred qualifications:  

  • Experience working in a college counseling center
  • At least three years of post-licensure experience
  • Experience working with diverse clients

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Independent licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within three years
  • Credentials or experience as a clinical supervisor 

Travel required:

  • Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
