Position Summary: Computer Lab Tutor and Monitor provides tutoring to students using Microsoft Office applications, including those taught in BU-250 &/or BU-248.

Essential Functions:
• Applications tutored include using Excel spreadsheets, Access Database, and PowerBI data analysis tools.
• Provide guidance using the SIMnet online tutoring and testing system used for BU-250 and BU-248.
• Monitor HC 108 computer lab during the assigned evenings and weekend hours.
• Grading of student assignments upon request and guidance of BU-248 and/or BU-250 course coordinators.
• Maintain a log of students using the lab during assigned lab hours and update online copy of log. Obtain and record student information including student name, BU-250 section, and instructor; or log general purpose for other lab use.
• Expected to work a regular set of weekly hours and to provide early notice of any work hour conflicts requiring a substitute (provide notice several days ahead, and should seek own alternate lab mentor-tutor substitute to cover the lab hours).

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have an overall Washburn GPA of 3.0 or better.
Successfully completed the course BU-250 Management Information Systems course with grade A or B.
Successfully completed the course BU-248 Foundations of Data Analysis course with grade A or B.
Preference given to candidates who have completed both BU-248 and BU-250.

Preferred Qualifications:
Business major or honors student
Available for 8 or more work hours a week
