Position Summary: An opportunity to work with Senior Executive Administration while developing professional and administrative skills in a fast-paced office environment.
Essential Functions:
-Professionally greet guests and answer incoming calls while possessing a good working knowledge of the President’s Office. This position will interact with legislators, lobbyists, board members, and distinguished leaders in Topeka.
-Draft and/or edit professional communications on behalf of the President’s Office.
-Assist with the planning and coordination of events including placing orders with catering.
-Assist with activities at the President’s Residence (Ross House).
-Process documents and ensure accurate mailing/email.
-Organize and distribute the President’s Honor Roll Certificates each semester.
-Assist legal counsel with various duties as assigned.
-Assist the Title IX Equal Opportunity Director with duties as assigned.
-Occasionally attend events and meetings as a representative of the President or accompany members of the President’s Office to assist with note taking, photography for social media, or other tasks.
-Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the office’s Executive Team.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
-Preferred GPA of 3.5 or above.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Excellent Communication Skills.
-Time Management Skills.
