Essential Functions:
KTWU Production Packages– KTWU regularly produces several shows, which vary from airing weekly to annually. A specialized promotional package is created for each show. You will have the opportunity to work on the creation of a promotional package for one or more of these productions.
KTWU Sales Packet Collateral: We are in the process of creating new promotional pieces for inclusion in a sales packet that the development team uses to secure underwriters, gain donors or recruit members. These pieces typically require researching demographic and ratings information for KTWU shows, gathering the applicable PBS provided content, and designing pieces that are within both KTWU and PBS brand guidelines.
Program Promotion - We produce a monthly program guide that features highlights about KTWU and PBS shows for the following month, along with showtimes. You will be asked to help gather promotional graphics/information, create written content and provide layout of the monthly program guides. There is an opportunity to make design changes by utilizing research and providing a fresh perspective while including what is important to KTWU members. KTWU and PBS shows promotion is also needed at various times through the production/reconfiguring of artwork for print, digital or video.
Special Events - We have several special events throughout the year, either for our members, underwriters or the public. During the course of the internship, you will be asked to assist with at least one special event. This could range from design, email creation, working at the event, photography/filming, etc., depending on the event and your skills/interests.
