Position Title: Video Production Crew - Producer

Position Summary: Instructional Services is seeking students who are interested in producing the live video productions of sporting events. The production will cover home sporting events including: football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and track. The video produced will be available for purchase via the MIAA Network website (http://themiaanetwork.com/) and appear on the video board at the event.

Essential Functions:
Supervise live video production of sporting events
Manage production crew
Work with production crew to develop and execute a vision for the production
Work with Supervising Producer to maintain production quality
Troubleshoots and provides knowledge of production equipment (including: video switcher, cameras, replay system, audio board, character generator).
Lead training sessions for all available positions
Update sports video archive
Perform various duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Interest in audio/video, multimedia and streaming technologies
Experience in video and/or multimedia production preferred
Familiar with the rules for football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball and track

Ability to learn, apply and retain new technologies and techniques
Demonstrated written, verbal and visual communication skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Practices time management skills
Demonstrated strong leadership skills
Ability to effectively train new employees
Ability to perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting

Physical Requirements:
Able to move and maneuver equipment weighing as much as 20 lbs.
Remain in a stationary position operating equipment for extended periods of time
Perform duties that require above the shoulder reaching (such as: mounting/operating a camera on a tripod or the shoulder).
Perform duties from a climbing, crawling, or stooped position
Ability to work in a stressful environment
