Position Summary: This position will work primarily in the Anthropology teaching lab (KBI 182A) to manage the space, equipment, supplies and course set up.
Essential Functions:
-Catalog Forensic, hominid, and archaeological collections.
-Assist faculty in classes with designated laboratory days/assignments.
-Clerical work to include copying, filing, labeling, etc.
-Maintenance of equipment/supplies and digital inventory system.
-Assist with Anthropology faculty plan, set-up, and administer laboratory activities in Anthropology classes.
Required Qualifications:
-Organized with excellent time management skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
-Background in Science.
-Basic experience with fume hood operation, analytical scales, and stereoscope operation.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with the scientific method.
-Knowledge of laboratory terminology and safety requirements.
Physical Requirements:
-Will periodically require heavy-lifting (up to 35 pounds).
-Will periodically require physical labor (digging and bending) and time spent outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hourly, Part time, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
