Position Title: Esport Monitor

Position Summary: The Esports Monitor will be responsible for supervising gaming operations and patrons' use of the Esports Gaming Room. 

Essential Functions:
Ask all patrons attempting to enter the SRWC to swipe a valid Washburn ID Card. 
Check identification cards for proper validation.
Deny access to individuals who do not qualify for entry. 
Assist and inform patrons on usage of machines throughout the Esports Room. 
Monitor customer’s behavior and actions; ensure customers follow facility’s rules. 
Assist with cleaning of stations after use.
Facilitate equipment check of out any external equipment that is needed. 
Aid in set-up, operations, and break down of programs, information tables and special events.
Answer the telephone using proper phone etiquette, being as helpful and courteous as possible.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging patrons to ensure and foster a diverse, inclusive, welcoming and safe environment. 
Perform other duties as requested.

Non-Essential Functions:
Organize, maintain, and clean gaming areas. 
Be able to work late nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications:
Must be a student at Washburn University that is currently enrolled or pre-registered in classes holding at least part-time status 
Must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA and maintain throughout employment with the SRWC 

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pick up 25 lbs 
Attend all meetings, in-services, and trainings, unless for an academic or military purpose 
Not work more than 20 hours in a week while classes are in session (Applies to all positions within campus employment).

Preferred Qualifications:
General knowledge of Esports 
Possess customer service skills and able to work well with others 
Previous experience in gaming systems 
Current American Red Cross CPR and AED certification
