General Summary

The Health Administration Program at Eastern Michigan University is seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant (GA) to provide support in administrative tasks, student recruitment, and research initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in program management while assisting faculty and engaging with prospective students.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Assist faculty and program staff with organizing meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Maintain program records, update databases, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Provide clerical support, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.

Student Recruitment & Engagement

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract prospective students.
  • Coordinate recruitment events, information sessions, and campus presentations.
  • Engage with current and prospective students to provide program information and guidance.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, such as flyers and digital content.

Research & Program Development

  • Support faculty and staff with research projects, data collection, and literature reviews.
  • Analyze industry trends and best practices in health administration to enhance program offerings.
  • Assist in compiling reports and presentations for academic and administrative use.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at Eastern Michigan University.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting.
  • Interest in health administration, research, and student engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.

Additional Information:

Hours & Compensation:

  • Part-time position (10 hours per week) (150 hours per semester max).
  • Compensation per university guidelines for graduate assistant roles.

100%
