General Summary
With the guidance of one or more staff or faculty members, perform a mixture of services in support of communication, technology, business operations or student affairs activities as more than 50% of their service. The Staff Graduate Assistant receives a stipend and tuition waiver subject to federal tax.
As part of the Dean's Office staff, the GA will perform duties and responsibilities related to the marketing and promotion of College of Business programs, activities and events both internal and external. Deliverables will include printed materials, electronic communication, correspondence with alumni, businesses, mentors and internal messaging to faculty and students as well as support materials for the COB centers of excellence. Graduate Assistant will provide support in the following ways:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
In consultation with one or more staff or faculty members, assist in the support of the affairs of a program, department, office and/or curriculum. Other departmental related duties as required.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all Dean's Office business
Assist Dean's Office staff in generating pertinent reports
Assist in planning of COB events
Perform data entry responsibility.
Generate letters and other business correspondence
Assist with research projects as directed by/ in collaboration with Dean's Office staff
Coordinate essential office functions
Front office responsibility to direct phone and in-person inquiries to appropriate office staff
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work up to 20 hours per week ( 10 tor 50%) is required.
GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
Admission and enrollment in a graduate program is required.
Maintenance of a 67% course completion Is required.
Enrollment in at least 6 credits for Fall and Winter semesters is required.
