General Summary The Eastern Michigan University School of Technology and Professional Services Management invites applications for a Part-time Lecturer for the Aviation Program. The successful candidate will primarily teach Aviation Ground Instruction courses in compliance with FAA Part 141 certification requirements and may also cover core Aviation courses including but not limited to Aircraft Aerodynamics, Aviation Safety, Weather and Crew Resource Management. Further consideration may be given to those with the ability to teach or assist in other academic areas as determined by candidate expertise. This part-time appointment (no benefits) will begin in the Fall 2025 semester. |
Principal Duties and Responsibilities The primary professional responsibility of the Employee is teaching. Employees are expected to develop and maintain their professional skills in order to ensure high quality education for their students. |
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Aviation or equivalent. |
Preferred Qualifications: College or university teaching experience is desirable. Special Instructions: Application materials must include a letter of application and résumé. |
