Assistant Professor of African American Literature in Richmond Campus
Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of African American Literature. This position is a full-time, permanent position in the Department of English. Secondary expertise in one or more of the following areas is desired: nineteenth century American literature, early American literature or English education. They will teach a 4/4 course load, teaching literature and general education courses, mentoring students, and maintaining an active record of service and scholarship. Faculty may also teach courses in our online MA program in English and Writing Professions (MAEWP). Additionally, they will collaborate with our campus partners, African and African American Studies. This position requires a Ph.D. in English or a related field, 1 year of teaching experience at a university-level, and a record of scholarly engagement such as publications or presentations.
