      The Department of Biological Sciences at EKU is seeking part-time Secondary Instructors to work with program faculty assisting in teaching undergraduate lectures and laboratories. Appointments will begin this Fall 2025 semester, with options to renew on a semester-to-semester basis. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the teaching (or related) discipline, or hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching (or related) discipline. Degrees must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited or internationally recognized institution.

      Student Worker in Richmond Campus

      The Student Office Worker helps faculty members and the general public in relation to the department as needed. The Student Office Worker also serves as an ad-hoc/peer advisor to students who call, email, or come to the office with advising-related questions. The Student Worker provides students with information regarding particular courses within the major, helps students select major and/or general education courses to meet graduation requirements, assists students in understanding how to navigate their DegreeWorks, directs them to online forms necessary for registration (e.g., overrides, change of major/minor/concentration), and assists them in scheduling meetings with their primary advisor. The Student Worker also assists with social media postings and assists in organizing and interacting with students during recruitment and retention events for our major and prospective students (e.g., Majors Expo, Psychology Conference, etc.).

      The Department of Applied Human Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University seeks a nine-month, visiting assistant professor for Academic Year 2025-2026. Applicants should hold an earned master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. A doctoral degree is preferred but not required. The position begins August 2025. The position serves the bachelor’s degree Food and Nutrition program. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian with successful work experience in the field of dietetics. The committee also seeks candidates with evidence of prior experience in teaching. The search committee is especially interested in candidates with applied experience and flexibility in areas of instruction. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in a 4/4 annual teaching load in two concentrations of the Food and Nutrition program: Dietetics and Culinary Nutrition & Food Management. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Human Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Experimental Foods, Food Preparation & Composition and Medical Nutrition Therapy. The successful candidate will also maintain scholarly engagement, and service to the university, community, and profession.
