The Opportunity
We are looking for highly motivated Engine Maintenance Technicians to work on the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector – the Super Hornet and Growler’s GE F414 engine and the F35 Pratt & Whitney F135 engine. The technician is responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of engine systems, associated components and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable: trade, qualifications, training, competency and authorisation(s).

Your duties include
- Performing heavy engine maintenance activities including strip, detailed inspection, and assembly
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructions
- Maintaining documentation of work in progress
- Performing maintenance supervisory/inspection duties as specified by aviation regulators
- Continually looking for way to improve in efficiency and effectiveness
- Taking all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- Demonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engine
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements
- The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirements
- A passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying
