The Opportunity
We are looking for a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Training Manager that is responsible for developing TAE’s MRO training needs, ensuring that they are effectively managed throughout the learning management lifecycle, whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory, customer, and quality management system standards in a RTO Like design. This includes all training required in a Aerospace Part 145 Organisation. Your duties include:
- Identify TAE training needs, determine the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for employees to excel in their roles, meet future growth in the business and maintain Regulatory compliance.
- Select training methods including the adoption and roll out of new LMS.
- Develop a training framework to ensure existing employees are suitability trained and competent when scope changes are made in program delivery
- Develop a training framework to ensure new employees are trained and deemed competent to the same level as existing employees
- Design the technical learning outcomes, develop lesson plans and assessments, in line with organisation learning principals
- Engage and collaborate with subject experts, customer representatives and internal stakeholders to Prepare, develop and test innovative, relevant, and engaging learning materials to meet program requirements.
- Assist appointed workplace trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) with resources for On-the-Job training (OJT)
- Implement technical learning either in the workplace or training environment.
- Review learning materials in line with organisation learning principals to improve the quality of learning outcomes.
- Review and update the company technical training and development manuals to provide providing a clear and concise approach to technical learning at TAE Aerospace.
- Provide regular metrics to the management team as required by the training manual.
The Ideal candidate will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of technical training programs
- Demonstrated understanding of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) or similar learning system methodologies
- Experience using Learning Management System(s)
- Exceptional time management, communication, and consultation skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively within a cross functional team environment
- Ability to obtain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance
- Understanding of Part 145 Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR), FAA, EASA, or CASA requirements
- Cert IV Training & Assessment
