The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to join our team.  The position will be based at our Ipswich office and will support our operations in Australia. Your duties will include:

  • Preparation of end of month journal entries;
  • Maintenance of sub-ledger accounts to balance sheet accounts;
  • Review of assigned Profit and Loss cost centres for accuracy and completeness;
  • Processing the upload of monthly credit card transactions via the ERP;
  • Completion of ABS Surveys;
  • Support the annual financial audit function;
  • Actively engage in continuous process improvement;
  • Assist in AP to cover peak periods and personal leave;
  • Other adhoc duties to support the Finance team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general financial position;
  • Minimum of Certificate or diploma level in Accounting or Commerce;
  • Active curiosity in understanding the data and what is driving the output;
  • Ability to ask open ended question, integrate data from multiple sources to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
  • A passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying.
