Patient Service Officer – Calvary North Adelaide Hospital

About the role

We have several opportunities available for customer focused applicants to join our team in Patient Services working across various areas of the hospital in our Admissions and Consulting Suites.  The successful candidate will be flexible with working hours with the ability to work full time when needed across a span of hours between 6am-10pm daily.  The successful candidate will have proven organisational skills, exceptional time management with the ability to prioritise own workload – if this sound like you we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient admissions and discharges
  • Data Entry using IPM software
  • Consulting Rooms Administration Support
  • General reception and switchboard duties 
  • Health fund eligibility checks
  • Scanning, photocopying, collation and preparation of case notes

Essential Criteria

  • Previous administrative experience working in a health care setting
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
