About the role
Calvary North Adelaide Hospital's Intensive Care Unit has 8 beds specialising in Critical Care, Post-Surgical High Dependency care, and complex high acuity medical patients. We offer flexible rostering, including both 12hr and 8hr shifts to accommodate working around your family needs. We pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive workplace environment, promoting a safe and positive culture for our staff and patients.
We are inviting those with ICU experience and a post-graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing to join our clinical leadership team as a Level 2 Clinical Nurse.
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment, working in close collaboration with the Clinical Manager, to guide and support the team in leading edge, evidence based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the delivery of direct patient care
- Provides support and direction to Registered, Enrolled, Graduate and student nurses
- Assists in professional development of staff
- Maintains an education and development focus
- Supports a positive professional workplace culture
- Manages a portfolio in alignment with the 8 National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards
- Demonstrates a willingness to act in a relieving role for Clinical Manager or clinical specialty
What you bring
- AHPRA Registration
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an Intensive Care Unit
- Post graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
