We are excited to announce a permanent Clinical Nurse within our dedicated team in the St Helen Ward and Day Infusion Room. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position and offers a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will primarily care for patients receiving treatments in our medical oncology and haematology day infusion room, ensuring delivery of exceptional personalised cancer care

Calvary North Adelaide Hospital's St Helen Ward consists of a 24-bed facility and an 8-chair day infusion room, specialising in a wide range of oncological and haematology malignancies and disorders. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Day Infusion Room and will work closely with both the ward and Kimberley House (Day Chemotherapy Unit). Our Day Infusion Room offers both ambulatory oncology and haematology treatments, with a focus on therapies requiring scalp cooling therapy.
We seek candidates with experience in oncology and/or haematology and a post-graduate qualification in Cancer Nursing (or related field) to become part of our clinical leadership team as a Level 2 Clinical Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of chemotherapy, haematology and theranostic IV treatments
- Demonstrated high level of clinical leadership, teamwork and development of workplace culture
- Facilitate learning, growth and development opportunities for the nursing team
- Actively motivate others and maintain an environment of continuous quality improvement
Candidates should meet the technical criteria of the role, consistently demonstrate values aligned with our mission, and possess a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude.
Skills & Experience:
- Current AHPRA registration
- At least 3 years experience in medical oncology nursing
- Experience in a high-acuity setting
- Post-graduate study desirable but not essential
- Completed eviQ ADAC version 4 competencies
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work successfully within a team structure
- A patient-centric approach to nursing
- Proficient computer skills
