About the role
Forming a valuable part of our senior management team, the CCL NUM will provide optimal leadership and management, assuming responsibility and accountability for the standard of clinical care delivered and the operational performance of the of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. They will be influential in creating a professional environment and fostering a respectful culture where interdisciplinary team members are able to collaborate effectively to positively impact patient outcomes and professional growth.
The primary purpose of the CCL NUM role is to offer clinical leadership to the nursing and multi-professional team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, managing staffing allocations and skill mix, coordinating with specialists, and maintaining the schedule for procedures in the lab.
The CCL NUM will work closely with the Perioperative Service Manager, Critical Care Nurse Unit Manager and the executive team to help shape organisational strategies, improve service provisions and achieve departmental and hospital objectives. This includes acting as an expert practitioner within acute cardiology, liaising, guiding and advising the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care
What you bring
Mandatory:
- Registered Nurse who holds current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- 5 years relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory
- Demonstrated skills in leadership within a health care environment.
- Advanced knowledge of current clinical practice, its delivery and odels of care and the ability to motivate, inspire and lead staff to achieve service and professional goals.
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of work, and interact as part of a diverse professional team.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to provide efficient and effective management of human, financial and material resources; based on principles of workplace equity, injury prevention and infection control
Highly Desirable:
- Recognised tertiary management qualifications or working towards same, and evidence of recent professional development to further enhance leadership and management competencies.
