We have an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 Clinical Nurse to join St Helens Ward. As a Cancer nurse you will have the opportunity to impact on patients’ lives. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in our Haematology/Oncology Ward.
Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, and we are seeking a like-minded individual to join our ranks. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with patients and health care teams to provide our patients with the best possible outcomes. You will responsible for supervising and supporting junior staff and Graduate Transition Program Nurses. We are looking to offer a permanent part time position, rostered over 7 days. Our team is committed to supporting your professional growth and helping you achieve your career goals. We have a specialised Oncology Educator to provide extra support.
Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Background in Oncology Haematology Nursing, demonstrating clinical competence (minimum 3 years) –
- Post-graduate qualification or working towards, in Oncology is highly desirable, however not essential
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Completed ADAC Version 4 – competent in management of CVADS and cannulation.
- Competent computer skills
- Ability to think in an agile way
Duties
- This role is direct patient care role providing excellence in evidence based nursing care to patients with a variety of Oncology and Haematology conditions.
- Work in a dynamic team, in a fast paced environment.
- Consistently and Enthusiastically deliver a high level of patient care
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence based care.
- Provide support to junior staff and graduate nurses
