About the role
 
As an Assistant in Nursing at Calvary Adelaide Hospital, you'll provide compassionate care and support to patients across various clinical settings, including Palliative Care, General Surgery, General Medicine. Your responsibilities will involve assisting the multidisciplinary team and reporting patient care to the Registered Nurse
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Provide direct patient care including assistance with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Observe and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing team to support timely clinical decisions.
  • Support the healthcare team by maintaining a safe environment, restocking supplies, and assisting in patient documentation and record keeping.
About you
  • Current 2nd year nursing student (studying Bachelor of Nursing)
  • Availability of at least 2 shifts a fortnight 
  • Confident in basic patient care and support tasks
  • Effective communicator with strong teamwork skill
