As an Administration Officer you will be responsible for efficient clerical support in all areas of the Patient Services Department. The position is rostered on a 7 day per week 24-hour roster in Emergency Reception, Information Desk, Urgent Admissions, Elective Bookings and Switchboard roles.

Selection criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in administration and reception duties, including computer skills in a people health care environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and people skills and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information with the discretion required in a hospital setting.
  • Willing and able to work shift work with flexibility to adapt to short-notice work requirements when required and across the 24 x 7 roster.
  • Ability to undertake required work flows efficiently, to set priorities if needed, and to use initiative in applying work practices in a busy work environment and as a part of a larger team.

 

Role details

  • Permanent Full-Time
  • Salary Classification: Admin Officer Level 3 Yr 1-2.
  • Remuneration: $34.46 to $35.54 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options.

This role requires the successful applicant to:

  • Have unlimited working rights in Australia
  • Successfully complete pre-employment checks including reference checks, work rights, criminal history check and WWCC checks to ensure suitability for the role.
  • Provide evidence of immunisation as required for the role.
