About the role

As a Catering Assistant at Calvary Health Care Kogarah (CHCK) you will be responsible for working across a variety of roles which together are responsible for ensuring CHCK patients receive suitable, safe and nutritious meals. You will have a strong work ethic and take pride in delivering a high quality service to enhance patient care.

Duties you may undertake in this role include but are not limited to;- plating, distribution and collection of patient meals, delivery of fluids and mid-meals, preparation of food and beverages, stock rotation and control, cleaning duties and use of an industrial dish washer.

This position works on a 7 day roster with variable shift times and durations.

In this position you will be required to maintain HACCP & Food Safety guidelines at all times.

 
Your main duties will include:
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow HACCP & Food Safety Principles, policies and procedures in line with required standards
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, organisational skills and ability to adhere to strict schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to work well as a team member as well as independently
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to cover a rotating roster across 7 days
  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
