About the role
 
We are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub/Scout to join our team at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Level 2 role. This role will be 0.8fte, permanent part-time (4 days per week). 

At Calvary North Adelaide Hospital (CNAH), our operating theatre suite features:

  • 7 Operating Theatres and 3 Procedural Rooms
  • Our specialties include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Oro-Maxillofacial, Plastics, and Ophthalmology
  • Caring for both Adult and Paediatric surgical patients

Our theatres operate over a 6-day rotating roster (Mon-Sat) with early and late shifts - No Night Shift required. After hours emergency theatres are supported by our On-call roster with an experienced nursing team. 

Your main duties as the Clinical Nurse - Orthopaedics will include:
  • Represent and lead the orthopaedic scrub/scout specialty at CNAH
  • Coordinate orthopaedic lists and ensure all necessary equipment is available
  • Communicate with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Relieve in the Shift Coordinator role 
  • Educate staff in the orthopaedic specialty
About you
  • AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Theatre robotic experience is highly desirable
  • Minimum 3+ years clinical experience in Orthopaedic Scrub Scout role
  • Previous Clinical Nurse experience is highly desirable 
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills 
  • Passion for staff education
