About the role:
Assisting with the delivery of high quality of nursing care to patients, including attention to their physical, social,emotional and spiritual needs as well as communication with concern for their significant others.
Calvary Health Care Kogarah provides both palliative care and rehabilitation services. It may be necessary at times, depending on clinical and staffing needs, for the AIN to work in either area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care – Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients.
• Clinical Skills –Provide personal care, monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Communication – Collaborate with RN, team leaders, doctors, allied health professionals, patients and families to ensure safe and effective care.
• Documentation – Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatments and outcomes.
• Education & Advocacy – Educate patients and families about health, treatment, and prevention, while advocating for patient
What you bring:
• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute /subacute in hospital /or aged care setting
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
