About the role

The Travelling Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator supports the Home Manager and Clinical Leadership team to design, develop and deliver engaging individual and group lifestyle programs that enhance the wellbeing of residents.

By taking the time to understand each resident’s identity, culture, beliefs and life experiences, you will create meaningful opportunities that promote connection, independence and quality of life. You will play a key role in ensuring residents feel supported, valued and treated with dignity and respect every day.

This role is part of an integrated team, working within an established framework to support residents to live their best life.

This opportunity sits within Calvary’s Travelling Workforce Program, offering the chance to work across a variety of aged care homes while enjoying the flexibility and adventure of travel.

Calvary St Catherine's is a 50 bed brand new facility nestled in the beautiful Riverland.

Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting the Home Manager and Clinical Leadership team to design, develop and implement individual and group activities across the home to residents, by understanding who the residents are including their identity, culture, diversity, beliefs and life experiences.
  • Supporting residents’ emotional, social and physical wellbeing through meaningful engagement.
  • Understanding residents’ unique needs, preferences and goals.
  • Documenting assessments, care plans and progress notes in line with legislative requirements.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.

About you

  • Certificate IV Leisure & Health.
  • Experience in aged care or a similar role (preferred).
  • Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programs for people with cognitive impairment and/or disabilities.
  • Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Confidence using systems and willingness to learn new technology.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
