About the role

Calvary Launceston is seeking an experienced Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative Services team in a Technical Level 3 position. This permanent role is based across Calvary St Luke's and St Vincent's Hospitals and offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical excellence, service improvement and staff development within a dynamic theatre environment.

As a senior member of the team, you will provide advanced technical support, mentor junior staff, participate in quality improvement initiatives and help drive best practice across the perioperative service.

Your main duties will include:

  • Coordinate theatre preparation, equipment and operational readiness

  • Support mentoring, training and development of theatre technicians

  • Lead quality improvement activities and practice enhancement projects

About you

  • Experience working as a Theatre Technician in perioperative services

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability

  • Strong understanding of theatre infection prevention practices

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Relevant Theatre Technician qualification or equivalent experience
