WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

 

The Enrolled Nurse – Medication Endorsed is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate care in patient-focused environment.

As a Nurse Bank employee, you will be rostered shifts equivalent to your contracted hours and may be allocated to various wards. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to develop their expertise within a diverse public hospital. 

 

  • Delivering person-centred nursing care across Calvary Newcastle's wards and care areas as part of the Nurse Bank pool — gaining exposure to the full breadth of hospital operations
  • Administering medications and treatments within your scope of practice under the direction of Registered Nurses
  • Documenting patient observations and care plans accurately, contributing to safe clinical handover
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care for patients and residents

 

ABOUT YOU: 

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse - Medication Endorsed with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
  • Minimum 6 Months demonstrated clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills, customer service skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
