      About the role

      As the Registered Nurse you are responsible for providing clinical leadership to staff and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. You will enable us to continue to deliver a high standard of care, services and most importantly a quality lifestyle for our residents. 

      Calvary St Joseph’s Retirement Community is home to 135 residents and offers a dementia secure unit, an ethno-specific unit, respite accommodation services and independent living.

      Calvary St Josephs is located in Sandgate which is located only 11 kilometres from Newcastle's central district.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Coordinate the delivery of quality clinical services in line with a resident centred model of care
      • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Funding models
      • Manage and provide efficient, effective and compassionate care planning and assessment
      • Provide direction and supervision in the delivery of resident care for all care/ clinical  staff
      • Coordinate communication between the care staff, RN and relevant health professionals to ensure continuum of care to the resident
