About you

The Clinical Educator in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Managers, provide necessary learning opportunities for staff in designated areas, using a variety of teaching strategies.

Exciting permanent full time opportunity to join our Surgical Team at Calvary Riverina Private Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs that support the provision of quality nursing care in collaboration with the Education Manager and other relevant personnel
  • Provide clinical support
  • Provide education programs that demonstrate the principles of adult learning and reflective practice
  • Provide Learning packages and Competencies relevant to the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Units
  • Provide Mentorship Program and support for new staff members
  • Utilises current and appropriate research and Evidence Based Practice when planning education activities

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in relevant area(s) of expertise and/or education are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post graduate clinical experience in a critical setting (ICU or CCU) is desired.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
