About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our busy health care catering team. In this rewarding role, you will prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health, recovery, and wellbeing of our patients.

Working on a rotating roster across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, you will thrive in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment where attention to detail, food safety, and teamwork are essential. While the role can be demanding, it offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals in accordance with patient dietary requirements and menu plans.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and infection control practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to meet meal service schedules.
  • Assist with stock control, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Support a positive dining experience for patients through quality food service.
What you bring
  • Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen, healthcare, aged care, or hospitality environment.
  • Relevant recognised qualifications as a Chef
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexible availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting patient care through quality nutrition.
