Maintenance Officer- Calvary Kooyong Precinct

About the role

Calvary Kooyong is a brand-new facility located in Caulfield. The precinct co-locates Calvary Bethlehem Hospital, a residential aged care facility, Huntly Suites, and an independent living facility, Hyson Apartments.

Reporting to the Director Property and Shared Services at Kooyong precinct, located in Caulfield, we currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team! 

Your main duties will include:

  • Attend to duties that improve the day to day lives of our residents and employees and ensure a safe and clean living and working environment.
  • Various tasks as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or relevant manager including preventative and reactive maintenance of site and equipment, inspections, liaising with consultants, gardening and landscaping.
  • Ensure a resident centred approach.
  • Ability to participate in on call after hours maintenance roster 

About you

  • Possess 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant trade industry.
  • Some prior experience in an aged care environment, with a working understanding of relevant Aged Care Accreditation Standards, compliance requirements, and Quality Improvement processes.
  • Good working knowledge of Fire and Emergency protocols, and regulations around essential services.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, including JSA's/SWMS, SLA’s, work orders.
  • A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
