The Role 

The Fundraising and Community Engagement Program Manager is responsible for raising funds from donors, philanthropy, bequests, churches, community groups, sponsorships, trusts and foundation giving. The position leads and manages the development and implementation of fundraising strategy and community engagement partnerships to acquire, engage and retain new and existing donors, funders, and meaningful community relationships (in partnership with Baptcare’s Volunteer Program).

In collaboration with the Head of People and Culture, the position is responsible for defining and implementing the Fundraising and Community Engagement strategy, ensuring its initiatives are impactful and support Baptcare’s long-term strategic objectives.

  

Key Responsibilities

The position will be accountable for the following activities:

  • Develop and implement the Fundraising and Community Engagement strategy
  • Manage new & recurrent donor acquisition activities, including the development of a gifts and giving program
  • Retain and engage current donors through a calendar of planned activities
  • Establish and retain enterprise relationships with key philanthropic funders
  • Identify, co-ordinate and prepare grant submissions and acquittals for agreed programs
  • Identify new and retain engagement with current corporate supporters, sponsors, and faith organisations 
  • In collaboration with the Communications team, develop targeted, multi-channel communication campaigns that enable effective engagement and manage reputational risks and emerging issues
  • Lead research and analysis activities, leveraging data and analytics to identify changes in stakeholder and community attitudes to effectively target communications and influence the direction of current and future strategies and programs
  • Support the management of the donor database, working with other members of the team to improve and manage existing processes
  • Build key reporting criteria for fundraising and establish processes to capture and report on dat

 

Essential Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Qualifications in marketing, communications, or business
  • Content expertise in one or more of the following areas: strategy, social innovation, fundraising, product or program development, community development, or translatable experience
