About the role 

This role is based at our Southaven Day Centre, but there will also be a requirement to attend our Brindabilla and Westhaven sites. 

The Social Support Groups (SSG) Team Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the social support group program, staffing, activities, quality, compliance, service delivery and facility management.

Social Support Group programs are provided to Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Home Care Package customers and are aimed at reducing isolation, promoting socialisation, community participation and providing respite for carers. This role works collaboratively with key stakeholders in Baptcare and in the community to deliver high quality programs and services that offers a client focused centre-point of social activities based on individual needs and lifestyle preferences. This role will ensure that staffing is optimised, facilities and services are managed proactively ensuring compliance to food safety, CHSP Guidelines and Aged Care Quality and safety standards and WHS requirements.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Leisure and Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy qualification, or similar qualification in community or aged care 
- Additional Community or Aged Care qualification; Dementia qualification, or equivalent experience
- Experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating leisure and activity programs 
- Managing high-functioning teams
- Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
