About the Opportunity
Join our passionate Community Services team in Sunshine as a Full Time Therapeutic Family Violence Practitioner and make a genuine difference in the lives of families experiencing crisis. You'll provide expert therapeutic support to individuals and families affected by family violence, helping them build resilience and create safer futures.
What You'll Do
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for clients experiencing family violence
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety plans
- Provide individual, group, and family counselling sessions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers
- Maintain accurate case documentation and reports
- Support clients in accessing community resources and services
What We're Looking For
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with family violence, trauma, or crisis intervention
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team goals
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check
