About the role
We are seeking a proactive Risk & Resilience Officer to support the implementation and ongoing maturity of our Enterprise Risk Management Framework and organisational resilience initiatives. As an integral part of the Governance and Assurance team at selectability, the Risk & Resilience Officer plays a key second‑line role in strengthening organisational risk capability by championing a positive risk culture.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and supporting practice guides
- Monitoring business planning, strategy, and regulatory developments to identify emerging risks and trends
- Monitoring organisational responses to emerging risks
- Oversight risk registers, key risk indicators and mitigation strategies
- Conducting second-line assurance reviews
- Supporting resilience planning and coordinating risk workshops
- Contributing to business process reviews to ensure business impacts and continuity plans are contemporary
- Coordinating risk-related training and promoting a positive control and risk culture across the workforce
- Risk Reporting to the executive leadership team
About you
To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:
- Risk management institute of Australasia certification (highly desirable)
- Experience working in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise risk management systems
- Working knowledge of quality standards requirements across aged care, child safety and/or NDIS industry (highly desirable)
- Highly developed person-centred communication skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving/critical thinking skills including the ability to compile, analyse data and prepare reports
- A demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
- A demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes
Role requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in associated field (highly desirable)
- Graduate Diploma (or graduate certificate) of applied corporate governance & risk management (highly desirable)
- Occasional out of hours work may be required
- Travel to selectability sites may be required
- A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)
- A Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
- A current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
