Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Position 

This position holds a full-time, permanent Teaching position within the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns.

Salary Range: Graduate $84,077- Proficient 4 $104,841 FTE gross p.a. plus applicable Middle Leader Tier allowance $12,648 p.a; or 
Proficient 5 and above: $133,740 FTE Gross per annum

The Middle Leader Curriculum - Health and Physical Education will lead the development of best practice and implementation of innovative pedagogical approaches within the Health and Physical Education curriculum area that provides the best opportunity to enhance opportunities for all students to access personalised, enriched and challenging learning opportunities within the Health and Physical Education curriculum area.

Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements

• Formal qualifications at Degree level in Education
• Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers
• Leadership experience:
  • • Demonstrated ability in educational leadership.
    • Demonstrated administrative ability.
    • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships.
• Willingness to achieve Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School and Accreditation to Teach Religion in a Catholic School (Teachers of Religious Education)
• Willingness to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy and sacramental life of the Church in the school community
• Capacity to understand and implement Duty of Care and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Current drivers licence
• A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision, and ethos of Catholic Education
• Promote child safety at all times

Work Requirements

• Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers
• Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
