Position 1: 

Salary Range: School Officer Level 2: $32.50 to $33.20 Gross per hour

Position 2: 

Salary Range: School Officer Level 3: $34.17 to $35.62 Gross per hour

Good Counsel Primary School

Good Counsel Catholic Primary School (GCPS), established in 1903, is located in the centre of Innisfail township at 96 Rankin Street. Innisfail is the largest business centre on the Cassowary Coast in Far North Queensland with a population of approximately 10,000. The picturesque township is situated at the junction of the North and South Johnstone Rivers, about five km from the coast and 90km south of Cairns which services a domestic and international airport.

GCP is the largest Primary School in the Innisfail District with a current cohort of 350 students. The school has two streams for each year level from Prep to Year 6. Our school offers a dynamic and engaging curriculum designed to inspire curiosity and a love of learning in every student.

Good Counsel Primary strives to be an authentic, positive Catholic community connected to the Charism of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in the Order of Saint Benedict, and the traditional owners of the land on which the school is situated, the Mamu people. About the Roles

Assist developmentally appropriate student learning, either individually or in groups, where some discretion and judgement are involved in evaluating and assessing (under the supervision of an academic staff member(s) the learning needs of students.
