Your Role:

As the Commercial & Industrial Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the commercial and industrial waste management operations across Queensland, ensuring efficiency, growth, and sustainability in everything we do.

✅ Strategic Leadership – Be a key member of the leadership team, working alongside the GM QLD and other stakeholders to craft and execute a forward-thinking business strategy.

✅ Drive Growth – Expand our commercial and industrial business beyond Southeast Queensland, unlocking new opportunities across the state.

✅ Lead & Inspire – Be a key part of the leadership team, guiding operations with vision, strategy, and expertise.

✅ Operational Excellence – Oversee all aspects of REMONDIS' C&I business in QLD, ensuring optimal productivity through smart resource allocation and efficient processes.

✅ Performance & Financial Management – Monitor key business KPIs—including safety, productivity, profitability, and compliance—while strategically managing costs and budgets.

✅ Innovative Management Systems – Design and implement effective systems that ensure safe and productive engagement of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.

✅ Strong Relationship Management – Build and maintain valuable partnerships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.

✅ Business Intelligence & Analysis – Interpret market trends and internal data to drive informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.

✅ Empowered Culture & Leadership – Foster a safe, results-driven, and inclusive operational culture, ensuring high-performing teams thrive in a collaborative and respectful environment.

✅ People, HSEQ & Compliance – Champion People & Culture processes, performance reviews, HR/IR matters, and HSEQ policies to support a safe, engaged workforce.

✅ Champion Sustainability – Play a vital role in creating a greener, cleaner future through innovative waste management solutions.

What You Bring:

✔️ Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
✔️ 5+ years of senior experience in waste management, recycling, logistics, or a similar industry.
✔️ Proven ability to lead, mentor, and empower teams, fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.
✔️ Expertise in managing a business unit with full responsibility for P&L, people, and safety.
✔️ Strong communication and relationship management skills, building partnerships with key stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
✔️ Strategic vision and data-driven decision-making, utilizing market trends and performance analytics to drive sustainable growth.
✔️ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing priorities and deadlines with confidence.
