The Opportunity

Our team continues to expand, and we’re now seeking a qualified and experienced Welder to join our Jandakot operations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our fleet of bins, trucks and operational assets remain safe, compliant and functional for daily service delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform high-level welding and maintenance on REMONDIS bins, trucks, and operational equipment, including load-bearing components requiring certified assessment.
• Conduct most repairs on skip bins, hook bins, and associated waste handling equipment.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions to complete tasks accurately.
• Apply MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques based on job and project requirements.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and clients regarding work progress or issues.
• Participate in daily pre-start meetings covering safety, work allocation, and operational updates.
• Maintain strong focus on safety and environmental compliance in the workshop and on customer or branch sites.
• Update timesheets in Excel and maintain accurate bin consumption registers.

What You’ll Bring

• Qualification as a Welder or Boilermaker
• Previous experience in welding, fabrication or asset maintenance
• Technical capability, attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• C-Class driver’s license essential
• Forklift ticket desirable
• Waste industry experience desirable but not essential
