We’re searching for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate Strategic Projects Manager to join the team on a 12 Month Max Term assignment. In this role you will lead the way as the Strategic Projects Manager across organic growth, tendering and mergers & acquisition opportunities throughout the Queensland region. Working closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team, you will develop and expand on existing business operations.
What you’ll be doing
This role is based at our Rocklea, QLD location and is office based with some travel involved.
- Lead and/or assist with tending requirements, inclusive of business estimations in a timely manner.
- Develop partnerships which yield growth opportunities for the business.
- Collaborate on mergers & acquisitions to support geographic expansion.
- Be the lead regarding the strategy refresh process for the Queensland team.
- Promote a positive HSEQ culture through positive communication and demonstrated behaviours.
- Actively contribute to a positive team working environment by endorsing open and honest communication.
Who you are:
- You have a Tertiary qualification in business and/or engineering.
- Minimum of three years professional experience in business development and tendering.
- Previous experience in the waste & environmental management business is highly regarded, and/ or logistics, cement or manufacturing industries.
- Experience with preparation of tenders, including estimations & submissions.
- You will be highly motivated and have a positive attitude.
- Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
- Be influential and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed business acumen and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Exposure working with Councils or similar is desirable.
