Position Overview: 

We are looking for students with a strong interest in technology and a desire to learn more about the ICT industry.   Our IT team are essential in navigating digital transformation, enabling Hazell Bros to innovate, grow, and remain competitive in today's technology-driven landscape. 

You will work closely with our IT professionals gaining firsthand exposure to the ICT industry and practical experience in a professional and supportive work environment.   You will develop valuable skills and competencies that can be applied to future academic and career pursuits.  Great opportunities to build connections and expand your network within the ICT community.

About the opportunity:

• Shadow experienced ICT professionals in various fields to gain insights into different aspects of the industry, including computer networking, cybersecurity, programming, software development, and technical support.
• Assist with value-adding tasks related to hardware and software maintenance, such as installing updates, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
• Learn about our current projects, challenges, and best practices in the ICT field.
• Collaborate with team members on small projects or assignments to apply newly acquired skills and knowledge.
• Observe and learn about ICT tools, technologies, and methodologies used within the company, including networking equipment, software applications, and project management tools.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in year 10 to 12 or undertaking studies at TAFE.
• Strong interest in technology and a desire to learn more about the ICT industry.
• Operational understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively in a team environment.
• Work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and adapt to new environments.
• Commitment to professional conduct and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with ICT tools and technologies, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Cisco networking equipment, and cloud computing platforms or to show initiative and ask questions to acquire necessary knowledge.
