This role will see you providing leadership to ensure our new asphalt plant facility is running at maximum production whilst ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The role responsibilities

  • Oversee Asphalt production activities and ensure all activities are operating efficiently.
  • Support the project team on the plant construction and commissioning.
  • Key customer liaison
  • Responsible for delivering a high level of safety and environmental performance
  • Monitor and control site processes to ensure product produced is within the site’s quality parameters
  • Ensure site staff are appropriately trained, coached and competent to achieve the sites objectives.
  • Ensuring personal and group Safety Lead Indicator KPI’s are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure the long-term goals and business targets are met.
  • Work with Managemenet to drive operational systems, efficiencies and compliance.

About you

  • 10 years or more experience in an Asphalt production operation including at least 5 years in a leadership role with a solid financial acumen.
  • Highly developed leadership and team building skills with excellent relationship management abilities and ability to engage workforce.
  • Sound knowledge of plant and equipment typically associated with Asphalting environments including repair and maintenance requirements.
  • Sound influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills including the ability to advocate change and win over resistance.
  • Practical knowledge of regulatory governance, legislative requirements, HSEQ legislation/regulations/standards, codes of practice and compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal to effectively with customers, colleagues and management.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
