Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team based at the Nyrstar Hobart Smelter site.  This role is a permanent, full-time position with the ideal candidate playing a crucial role in our site maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and support a safety culture that effectively manages risks in line with company’s policies and procedures whilst achieving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all contract maintenance KPI’s are met and client feedback is acted upon.
  • Ensure commercial targets are within budget and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Manage maintenance services and requirements on Hazell Bros and client assets in accordance with Hazell Bros & client maintenance strategies, policies & procedures.  
  • Prior experience with scheduling, job delegation and coordination of workshop employees is critical.

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (Light or Heavy or Mobile Plant).
  • The ability to prioritise work with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and a positive approach to leadership. 
  • Exposure to a diverse range of mobile assets in previous positions is desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to support and mentor team members.
