Payroll Manager - Lead our Trans-Tasman Payroll Operations

The Role:

Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will ensure every employee is paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with all legislation. You will manage end-to-end payroll services while leading a team of 2 payroll officers and driving continuous improvement across our systems and processes.

What You’ll Do:
✅  Oversee fortnightly payroll processing across AU/NZ operations
✅  Ensure compliance with Modern Awards, Fair Work Act, Holidays Act 2003 (NZ), and statutory requirements
✅  Manage UKG/Kronos T&A and Affinity payroll systems
✅  Process complex calculations including terminations, LSL, and ETP payments
✅  Prepare payroll reconciliations, journals, and statutory lodgements
✅  Lead and develop your payroll team while acting as subject matter expert

Qualifications and Experience:
✅  5+ years managing end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand
✅  Strong knowledge of trans-Tasman payroll legislation and compliance
✅  Essential experience with Affinity Payroll and UKG/Kronos systems
✅  Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
✅  Multi-site retail or fast-paced operational environment experience
