The Role:
Discover Wellington is a curated retail store celebrating the best of New Zealand. Opening at Wellington Airport, the store offers a mix of locally made gifts, souvenirs, snacks, and travel essentials showcasing iconic Kiwi brands and uniquely Wellington-inspired products. It’s designed to give travellers an easy, memorable way to discover and take home a piece of Aotearoa.
We’re looking for an energetic and committed Full-Time Store Manager to join our team at Wellington Airport. If you love leading from the front, creating outstanding customer experiences, and developing high-performing teams – this is your runway to success.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Be the face of the store – set the standard for service and style
✅ Create meaningful connections with customers – every transaction counts
✅ Lead, coach, and inspire your team to hit targets and shine
✅ Manage store operations with accountability and attention to detail
✅ Uphold exceptional presentation and brand standards
✅ Foster a respectful, values-led culture every day
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience in a similar leadership role in a high-energy retail environment
✅ Strong communication and coaching abilities
✅ Confidence to take initiative and own your role
✅ A “hands-on” leader who thrives in a team setting
✅ Flexibility to work across rotating shifts (mornings, evenings, weekends & public holidays)
✅ Valid working rights & eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security ID Card
