The Role:

Our News Travels store offers a range of newspapers, magazines, latest release books, travel essentials and snacks for your trip. From the iconic brands of LEGO, JBL and Apple to an area dedicated to a wide range of gifts, apparel, souvenirs and locally sourced produce, stop into News Travels before your flight.

We’re looking for Casual Retail Assistants to join our team at Newcastle Airport. If you love customer service, fast-paced environments, and making shopping fun, this is your chance to shine!

*Good availability between 4:45AM to 9:30PM with either morning or night shifts on offer (Week days and weekends)
*Flexibility across the 7 days desirable ✅
*Physically fit, some lifting required!

What You’ll Do:
✅ Deliver outstanding customer service & expert product recommendations
✅ Stay ahead of trends with ongoing professional training
✅ Keep the store looking vibrant & well-stocked
✅ Process transactions smoothly & efficiently
✅ Assist customers with queries in a friendly, professional manner

What We’re Looking For:
✅ Passion for customer service & sales
✅ Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate
✅ Confident communicator with a positive attitude
✅ Well-groomed & professionally presented 
✅ Some retail/hospitality experience
✅ Flexible availability (early mornings, nights, weekends & holidays)
✅ Valid working rights & ability to obtain an Aviation Security ID Card
